The snow white granite cliffs suddenly a world a way As the mystical beauty of the rainforest enfolds us We sense the divine as we stand beneath the tall old growth red cedar trees Reaching hundreds of feet into the azure sky An aura of myth surrounds these gentle giants Whispering the esoteric secrets of life amongst themselves Their eminence manifests a sacred cathedral Sunlight dancing through the canopy of limbs form the stain glass windows the rays fill the forest with a mystical light revealing a dazzling array of greens from the bright delicate joyful lichen moss that covers the forest floor to the dark warm solemn forest green leaves of the cedar Long tendrils of angel hair moss flowing down their branches dancing in the soft breeze
The air is filled with crisp freshness, cleansed by the winter snows The moist sweet scent of the cedar fills you our hearts fill with this beautiful essence the purity of nature so inspiring Stepping lightly on the forest floor So filled with life forms we are ever so careful where we go The ground is soft and springy.... like a mattress..... It makes the child inside of us smile As we envision the magical kingdom of faeries Knowing Merlin would be at home is this glorious place
We listen to the silence and let it fill our souls with peace yet, faintly we hear the lovely mesmerizing song of the meandering stream babbling over the granite rocks on her infinite journey Canary yellow swamp lilies grace the pockets of moisture Delicate blue and purple flowers nestle in the rock crevices The forest floor adorned with ferns, all sizes and colors the glory of spring is exhilarating A giant cedar beckons us to feel her We climb up the roots and stand at her feet in awe Sensing her tranquil aura The base of this magnificent tree is so broad our arms stretched cannot touch the diameter
Embrace her, feel her Lay your cheek against the cool moist bark Let her energy flow through you Sense the connection to her to the forest around you and to all things in nature that are evidence to god’s existence A piece of bark comes off in our hand holding it firmly in our hand, we feel the coolness, the rough texture there is no sense of loss as we see how the tree renews herself and nourishes the smaller plants around her, thriving on her shed skin sharing the same cycle of life as we do living and breathing, lovingly uplifting those around us while appreciating life’s incredible beauty and blessings
